Everything you need to get the most from your ATS Health Check
Frequently asked questions
Who should complete the ATS Health Check?
The assessment is designed for someone with a holistic view of how the ATS is actually used day-to-day. Ideal profiles include TA Operations or TA Enablement leads, HRIS or ATS owners, Senior Recruiters or TA Leads with system knowledge. For enterprise organisations, completing it as a small group is often the best approach.
How long does it take?
Around 30 minutes for one informed respondent. The context setup takes 2–3 minutes, and the diagnostic questionnaire takes 25–30 minutes. There is no benefit to rushing — accuracy matters more than speed.
Do I need to prepare anything before starting?
No formal preparation is required. It helps to have a general understanding of your ATS workflows, how requisitions are opened and closed, and who owns configuration decisions. You do not need vendor documentation, technical screenshots, or exact metrics.
What if I don't know the answer to some questions?
Select 'Not sure / N/A' — this is always a valid answer. The tool uses a confidence indicator to reflect input quality. Lower confidence does not mean failure; it signals that some areas may benefit from further validation.
Can I save my progress and come back later?
Yes. Your answers are automatically saved as you go. You can leave and return to the assessment at any time — your progress will be waiting for you.
What do I receive at the end?
You receive an ATS Configuration Scorecard, a prioritised Quick Wins Backlog, and a 90-Day Improvement Roadmap. These can be viewed on screen and downloaded as a branded PDF report.
Is my data secure?
Yes. The ATS Health Checker does not request or process candidate-level personal data. All inputs are based on organisational context and process assessment, not individual records. Your assessment data is stored securely and is only accessible to you.
Can I share my results with my team or leadership?
Absolutely. The PDF report is designed to be shared internally. It includes your organisation profile, scorecard, prioritised recommendations, and roadmap — ready to support planning conversations and business cases.
What if I want to re-run the assessment later?
You can create multiple assessments over time. This is particularly valuable if you've implemented improvements and want to measure progress, or if your ATS setup has changed significantly.
What happens if my results show significant issues?
The tool is diagnostic, not prescriptive. If your results highlight areas needing attention, you'll receive prioritised recommendations and a phased roadmap. You can act on these internally, or reach out to TAOps Consulting for hands-on support.
How accurate are the results?
The results are based on the inputs provided. The tool includes a confidence indicator that reflects answer completeness and certainty. More complete and confident inputs produce more reliable insights. The framework has been developed through years of ATS implementation and optimisation experience.
Can I compare results over time?
Yes, if you've purchased a multi-assessment package (Progress Check or Health Cycle), you'll have access to comparison tools that show what improved, what stayed the same, and what may have regressed.
